Church Overview
What to Expect
Profile: Founded in 1970, FBC is an established church, but it is not a “boring church”. Sunday morning attendance average is about 115 people. Dress trends include business-casual, suit with tie, and just about anything in between. People are friendly, and we do our best to make visitors feel welcome and comfortable.
Services: Sunday morning begins with Sunday school at 9:45 and is geared to educate God’s people from His Word. We have classes for every age group as well as small groups. Following that, we have our weekly worship service in which we endeavor to worship God in spirit and truth.
On Sunday evenings we study a book of the bible giving its information and application.
Wednesday nights is dedicated to prayer and fellowship. After a short devotion we break apart into groups or as individuals and give ourselves to prayer.
Philosophy: FBC operates primarily but not solely on 4 Core Philosophies: 1. Exaltation – to worship God as the true and only God; 2. Education – to teach God’s word to the church regardless of age or maturity level; 3. Edification – to build up God’s people by encouragement, ministry and helps; 4. Evangelism – to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ (I Corinthians 15:3, 4) with our local community as well as the world through local ministries and world-wide missions.
Music The music at FBC is designed to complement our philosophy of ministry. We love the doctrinally rich hymns of the sixteenth century and are blessed by the hymns and choruses of the twentieth. We exercise congregational singing, which emphasizes the gathered body singing praise to God with one voice and incorporate group and individual specials as well.
Sermons Preaching at FBC is expositional, meaning that it seeks to declare the meaning of a particular Biblical passage. Sermons usually last between 30-50 minutes and are packed with information, exhortation and application (needed for real life issues). All preaching is gospel-driven and Christ-centered.
